Good for a University, particularly if you like a long - paid - Christmas break. Unfortunately, that mandatory break does lead to a reduction in vacation hours, I believe.
PTO and sick days were combined into a larger pool and they were doled out generously. Working there was easier because you could take time away from the office when necessary.
There is a distinction between administrative staff wherein one group gets unlimited sick time and the other does not. It is a longstanding discrepancy that needs to be addressed.

Time off is accrued. Generous Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving breaks.
16 paid vacation days the first year, which increases 1 day every year up to 288 hours
I have so much time off I don't even know what to do with it - incredibly generous with paid leave.
