This company offered a full benefit package. This included holiday breaks also. Additional benefit options were available for purchase.
Time off, and great flexibility schedule
Benefits are not great. You have to be vested into the TRS of GA for 10 years before any monies that the college contributed to your 401k is really yours. There is no option to borrow against your 401k for emergencies.
There are no benefits for Adjunct Professors.
The "benefits" offered are a joke. Everything is very expensive and very limited. Only real perks I considered are decent PTO (10 hrs accrued monthly) and the tuition assistance program through USG.
Excellent benefits. Good medical, dental and vacation.
The Retirement plan matching contribution is immediately vested.
No benefits worth speaking of,
Strive to be full-time, because that is the only way you get a benefits package. Take advantage of the Lynda tutorials to gain other skills because that is about the only benefit you get as a part-timer. Also, when you are leaving they will give you back money that they have been saving for you - go to the Georgia Defined Contribution Fund before you leave and set up an account to see how much you have in there. I had 1900+ in there after working part-time with GPC for 2.5 years.
Dental benefits are not the best, but all other benefits are good.
