“As an intern, the health insurance was minimal. I never got the chance to test it out as I wasn't there long.”
“They provided adequate time off for an internship position. I received about a weeks worth of time off. ”
“They were pretty liberal with the amount of snacks they gave us, plus they had plenty of vending machines. ”
they have a great benefit package
The best thing about the benefits at Glassdoor is the healthcare coverage. It is 100% covered for employee and 90% for spouse! I've never had this offering at any other company! Unlimited PTO is a game-changer and we get 2 paid days off a month (company-wide). Lastly, there is support for mental health as well as fertility benefits. They are just incredible at supporting us as employees in this way.
The company's health benefits were outstanding.
The basics are great - fully paid medical/dental/vision for employees with very generous dependent coverage. Open PTO without the undertone that it's not "really" open. Two days off per month and a great new approach to where you work (fully remote, in office when it opens or a blend) without any implied preferences from leadership. However, some of the more impactful pieces are severely lacking: 401K match is VERY minimal ($3k/yr max) and the parental leave is archaic. New fathers get barely any time and new mothers are offered the bare minimum. Parental leave is a burning topic that we NEED to see Glassdoor address and quickly! Several people have left/not returned from leave as a result of it.
Glassdoor has great benefits and they are always revisiting to make sure our benefits are competitive and have the employees best interests in mind. Unlimited PTO, fertility and family planning assistance and evolving mat/pat leave to name a few!
Glass Door is a fantastic company with fantastic benefits! They help so many people learn about other job opportunities.
Comprehensive health insurance coverage, 50% 401k match, ADD insurance, and great dental/vision packages. GD is also generous with work-at-home perks such as a 1-time cell phone/internet payment.
Glassdoor's benefits are all solid and competitive amongst other top tech companies EXCEPT their maternity/paternity leave, which is out dated and not nearly good enough.
Good: Flexible work hours, great health insurance options, internet/phone discounts Not so good: Nominal 401k match, low equity potential
No stocks or rsu option
