Here at Glu we are committed to offering competitive benefits. Even with the rising costs of medical care, we still offer our employees great coverage at an affordable rate. For 2017 we not only kept Employee premiums flat, but were able to upgrade many of our plans as well including a few new perks!
Our comprehensive Benefits package includes: health, dental, vision, life/disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. We also offer E-Learning Subscriptions, Study Halls, and Tuition Reimbursement to support our Learning and Development initiative. We have a generous PTO policy on top of Paid Holidays as well as a Holiday Closure at the end of the year! You also get PTO for volunteering, endless amount of snacks, game rooms, family friendly events, holiday parties, and much much more!
Fairly good benefits that are provided.
Great health insurance like Kaiser. Full week shutdown in December! Wish there was 401k match. Looking forward to the perks of the new office
There are no company perks like free food (just chips and soda, no healthy options unfortunately) that are on par with other technology companies. The transit benefits are not fair as the company pays for CalTrain, but not BART or Muni. Worst of all, there is zero 401K match which I was shocked by - as is everyone else I tell about it. Pets are not allowed and there is no work from home policy, which there should be given the high cost of transit. I do think we get a sufficient amount of PTO days though.
The plan was remarkably average. We were strongly encouraged to participate in the HSA (health savings account), in lieu of going the PPO or HMO route. I didn't appreciate that sales pitch, especially given that the rep strongly implied that the "HSA would be the only way to go, soon," and that "we should get our savings in now, on the ground floor, before it's the de facto standard." No special perks were added to the benefits plan, such as health club reimbursement or paying commuting/parking costs, which were benefits that I had received at my last three employers. Likewise, we were given no relocation allowance, nor were we given the opportunity to submit receipts associated with relocation.
Not as generous as Google, just 'normal'
Occasional, but regular free lunch on Fridays in some locations. Free Snacks and drinks. 401K, but NO matching, which is disappointing, and something companies really need to step up in general, especially when they tell their employees they are their main focus! Health, Dental and Vision insurance is pretty good. The single most stressful part of living and working in the Bay Area is cost, so a minimum plan by any corporation is well advised. Remember, many senior employees have families and younger employees are starting! Overall, employees are covered, but could offer more in terms 401k matching, pensions and retirement plans.
Best is that the company is shut down from christmas to new year and it is paid. Worst is the health care and no 401K match and no sick leave.
Limited amount of PTO shared between sick and vacation time. Fairly standard Medical, dental, vision benefits. Studio bonus system only applies if your project is very successful
Average health and dental care. No matching 401k.
No mass transit or bus pass provided
