Golden Living employees get paid vacation time.
If sent home because low number of patients, you can not use your vacation to supplement your income.
Company changed from accumulated sick and vacation hours to combined PTO hours. Employees with a lot of time with the company lost a lot of hours
Lost sick time when PTO added and lost a week of total vacation time the last 3 years.
You earn as you go - only bad thing is if you need to take time off at the very beginning of the year. If you have been with the company for 5 or more years you automatically receive one week in advance but if you haven't then you have to wait until you have earned the hours. You are allowed to carry over up to 40 hours from the previous year.
2 weeks paid vacation/PTO time to start
Refused to let me take time and then took the time back at the end of the year. Yes this actually happened. Probably illegal but I was just so glad to be gone.
they had a paid time of program that worked well. That all changed and their system may work well for the company but it sucks for the employees.
PTO time accrues rapidly but an employee must be actively utilizing them. Golden living has just once again changed the benefits package with no warning to staff and long term employees suffered the most losing countless hours they had earned.
PTO time okay but don't pay time and half when you work holidays. Why should we volunteer to work holidays?
With the hostile environment you never want to come in and the hell it is to get a day off is insane. Once you are in the door you are there.
