“it cost a arm and a leg . your pay isn't enough to be able to afford the insurances and pay your bills.”
“if you get pto you won't afford to be able to travel. little pay and you'll be too tired from all the work they load on you.”
“not enough pay to fund any savings unless your a supervisor or manager.”
One of the best things about the benefit package was the PTO and holiday time. Five floating holidays were included with the earned time. Time was accrued with each biweekly pay period. The medical insurance was great at the time I started with the company but got progressively worse as the years went on (however still comparable to other companies). Wages are very low compared to private business. There is not much room for career advancement.
Though I have worked few months in Goodwill, I was told that their benefits are not so bad. I was offered retirement plan
no perks no benefits no discount.
Benefits for single person were really inexpensive compared to plans I've had in the past. I didn't have any dependents so I'm not sure what the cost to add someone was. Also had 401K that matched contributions.
Loved having paid time off, earn a percentage of time off by how many hours you work and years you are with the company. I didn't like the stipulation on using sick time off. You had to use 3 days of PTO or unpaid time before you could use sick time with a Dr's note. The majority of the time I was sick for 3 days and didn't need to go to the Dr and never could use my sick time. The 401K is great with a 4% match, wish it would increase with the number of years you are with the company.
PTO accrual for full-time employees is VERY nice!
Health insurance is sub standard
401k there are paid benefits for dental, health, vision. Sick time is also available. Decent package but can be expensive for just one person
They never let you actually use your benefits. They lie about how great the benefits are, but it's just a facade.
I like that I'm able to buy addition PTO
