Good Work Life Balance. Plenty of Vacation days. Great affordable insurance plan for the entire family...Dental, Vision, Health and Life.
Not bad considering other schools
It had a fun atmosphere, family friendly and great benefits
Best: Generous time off if you could manage to use it, if not, you can carry over a great deal, generous dental benefits although the dental plan is state funded. Several health plan options to choose from. Worst: The only PPO health plans and the dental plan are state funded leaving you always fearful the state won’t be able to pay the bills and you will have a hard time finding providers or get stuck with large bills.
The best thing about the benefits is the amount of sick and vacation time given. They also have an excellent Flexible Spending Program.
SURS is a stable funding for retirement. Good benefits overall.
Great health insurance benefits for self and family. Great vacation, sick and personal package.
Sick and Vacation time are earned bi-weekly not given up front after probationary period has been completed. Medical benefits may increase due to the lack of a state budget. Tution benefits for employee are avaavilbe after completeion of probation.
Pros: Lots of options, most services are covered Cons: It's a state university and benefits can fluctuate with the whims of the Illinois budget.
Benefits start on your first day of employment.
