$4 per canvasser is the max. What the heck can you get for $4? I would order pizza from little caesars and had to lie and said I had 40 canvassers just so we'd have 2-3 slices per person. I'd buy them soft drinks but that wasn't covered by the company. These are canvassers, you'd think they'd offer water at the very least!
Free food with good people, but your bosses want you to be there to make sure you're a part of the cult.
Individual offices paid for social events
Weekly socials with a budget of $4/person
Company does not provide adequate compensation for social events
This was based solely on the director of each office (who were great), so the corporation had nothing to do with this. But they did give a budget of I believe $4 per person for any events we wanted to be reimbursed for, which was not ever enough to do anything of value.
Company events were always fun, but there was little to no budget for organizing events even though we were expected to have them every week.
Company social events were one of the best parts about GCI! Directors are encouraged to hold social events after work for canvassers once a week and are given a budget to go get appetizers or do karaoke.
It gives us time to be together and get to know each other.
Free food, when they can afford it. Nice to chit chat with coworkers every now and then.
