We believe we have a good idea about what makes a fulfilling work life for employees: meaningful work, quality products, sound business strategy, ultra-competent colleagues, and plenty of freedom to innovate and create.
Our people are proud to work for Guidewire – and we're proud to have them. And because they do such a fantastic job for us, we'll do the right thing by them, with a salary, bonus and an equity package that recognizes and rewards their contribution. We recognize excellent performance, rewarding our people through various internal recognition programs.
The health insurance and wellness program are great.
The maternity & paternity leave could be better, they say they care about their employees and want the health for us but that doesn't really show in their leaves. Also, the vacation days is PTO and not unlimited which I think it should be unlimited..especially when the company shuts down for a week during the holidays and uses your own PTO. It's almost a forced PTO, if you're going to force people to take PTO during the holidays might as well give us unlimited PTO. The health insurance could definitely be a lot better, my partner's companys health insurance isn't that great and ours is even worse. You get the flexibility to work from home if needed which is nice. We used to have better gym reimbursement but this year they changed it to $100/annually...which can basically pay for 1 weeks worth of gym
Average to good benefits for a tech company in the silicon valley. Would love to see Guidewire follow the trend of "unlimited" no tracking on vacation. So employees can discuss vacation with their manager and take time off base on workload. And it would be great to have the extended maternity and paternity leave like other companies in the silicon valley.
ESOP, Commission, RRSP/401K matching, great salary. Standard vacation # of weeks.
While the benefits are good, there’s scope for improvement which can be beneficial both to employees and guidewire viz. HSA contributions from employer will save payroll taxes. Also, it will give flexibility when moving providers
The benefits are similar to any other company I have worked for in the past. They always review what we have to make sure Guidewire is competitive in the marketplace in terms of benefits.
Lack of maternity/paternity leave. No sabbatical options. 401k matching is decent. Vacation policy is acceptable but could be better. Sick leave policy is old negative toward employees: 5 sick days a year that can only be used at certain times of the year (if you're sick around a holiday, expect scrutiny or denial of sick leave).
Healthy salary and benefits.
Overall good benefit package. The only weakness is minimum 401K contribution match
Excellent package with stock, vacation, and good base salary. Downside is medical insurer seems to change every year.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
