“Not an outstanding match, but certainly above average. Provides a very good mix of funds. I had issues initially getting my account set up. HR...”

  • Health Insurance (19 comments)

“Solid coverage, but recently changed insurance providers. Current provider has a history of bad service, but hasn't caused any problems yet.”

“Everyone in development can work from home 1 day per week.”

The company strives to improve benefits every year. It could be a larger 401K match, or the introduction of volunteer days off.

Guidewire has a wonderful overall benefit package. Would love to see tuition reimbursement added.

While the insurance benefits are fairly average for a software company, they offer quite a few options for both medical and voluntary insurance. They provide a separate pool of sick leave in addition to PTO, which is a nice change from most companies. Guidewire tries very hard with their perks, especially in the satellite offices. They maintain the Silicon Valley culture throughout the entire enterprise with free snacks and drinks, and frequent company social events.

Overall the benefits package is good. I have made a lot of use of the health insurance this year for myself and my family. It has all gone very smooth.

The stock bonus offering is the best. The health insurance is pretty good. The 401k match is not the best.

It's a solid Health Plan, it's not as good as other employers, but it's definitely better than some. I'm younger, so just doing an HSA account, and that seems to be working well. 401k is standard employer match after you reach the correct length of employment.
