We believe in taking care of you...
In order to do the best work of your life, it is important that you are valued and taken care of. At Gusto, we value our employees above all else and are committed to continually seeking out new ways to foster their well-being. Our values drive how we work and also how we design our programs.
Best: Flexible time off, catering for lunch everyday (and dinner, if you stay past 6:30pm). You are allowed to have a work-life balance.
Amazing benefits like free catered lunch every day and house cleaning and grocery delivery for maternity leave! Equity is on the lighter side.
Health benefits start on day one; catered lunches daily
Best things - Amazing benefits 100% paid for by company. Free catered lunches daily. Progressive work environment Worst things - Chaotic work environment - Understaffed for the amount of sales they are closing. No standardized procedures that are recognized by the company (they are still working on this). No formally outlined means of internal communication. Updates are provided through numerous platforms which makes it difficult to keep track of everything. They say there is unlimited PTO but there are stipulations to this that are not mentioned until you are hired.
The company offers average benefits despite talking a big game. If you are young and this is your first or second job, you may be impressed (free basic medical, flashy perks like lunch, a plane ticket after one year) but if you dig into the details of the fundamentals (i.e. health insurance, 401k savings) things are...meh... You can quickly max out on certain basic benefits (for example, therapy) and spend months fighting to get more visits or be flat out denied. Some things that have caught a lot of media coverage (fertility benefits) really only apply to small percentage of people.
401k matching should be brought back. Current form is well below industry standard and it's a huge loss that doesn't jibe with the ownership value that management preaches. They should enable us to own our future by committing to long term and matching more!
401k matching should be brought back
Flexible PTO at a company where people do actually take time off, FlyAway program + Strong Parental / maternity leave.
+ Free Food + Unlimited PTO (and people actually take it) + Great Health Benefits + Great Maternity and Paternity benefits + Above Average Perks - They just got rid of 401k matching :(
Unlimited PTO is the best, phasing out the 401k matching was too bad
