HP self insures, but has different companies such as Cigna and United Healthcare operate the insurance. As with many companies, HP has stabilized their contributions so most of the healthcare raises have been allocated to the employee. That being said, after looking for insurance at my wife's employment and on the market after being laid off, the HP cost was the most reasonable rate I could find.

They have several options. Kind of spendy and the penalty for having a spouse that works is a bit much but it is pretty good insurance.

The best thing is great prescription co-pay $20 no matter how expensive the medicine is. The worst is the high deductible health insurance that makes all payments out of pocket except for large heath issues.
