They changed the insurance options and now if you have 1 dependent your paying the same as somebody with 3 dependents , which isn't fair.
Have the POS and the deductible is low(er) than other insurance offered but you pay more in premiums monthly. Usually cover majority of the things and it has an HSA account attached that you can add money to. Only issue I've had is that you have to see a doctor affiliated with Hartford hospital and if you're PCP or specialists, like mine, are not affiliated with them then you start paying out of pocket costs or need to find new docs.
The best thing is the dental insurance
PTO accrual is good. Health insurance is awful.
Good benefits package however it is getting smaller and smaller for everyone but the top management. Executives treat themselves first and very well. Hospital needs a union to represent fairness for regular employees, other than window dressing of employee committee.
Health insurance goes up every year with cost. When it comes time to using your vacation you might get it or you might not. Since we are understaffed we don't always get the time off. If we don't use our time by the following calender year then we lose it. So, try to use your time as soon as you can.
