For non-exempt staff, if you can go the whole year and only use up your Floating Holiday and Vacation, you will receive a check at the end of the year for remaining PTO, so try not to touch that.
Benefits are average compared to the company I work for now. The tuition reimbursement is only for show. It’s not real
The benefits are expensive and employees have to pay for their own parking. There is also a huge disparity between what the attorneys are eligible for and what staff are eligible for. For example, attorneys can work from home, but staff can never work from home. Attorneys get significantly more maternity leave than staff. Attorneys have paternity leave, but staff do not.
Pretty good benefits, except for a top law firm, they do not pay parking, nor do they compensate for it in the pay. There are only a very few firms downtown Austin that do not pay parking as it is at a premium here and hard to find. I was required to walk 8 blocks at times after finding parking.
Best was healthcare; worst was no paid parking.
Standard benefits: Health insurance; 401K, etc. No transportation allowance and dental insurance is kind of high.
Health insurance and 401k matching.
Fair compensation package. Bad health insurance coverage.
