They have an excellent health plan that covers the entire family for medical, dental and vision as well. The 401 plan is good enough to build decent retirement for you and your family. Also, Heartland has many vacation trips for its sales team if they win regional contests. Overall they provide a well rounded health package for their employees.

The cost is so high and the deductible is so large, I think you can do better on the exchange for health insurance. The Salespeople are required to pay more in premium than the employees on salary which includes management and operations. When I asked HR why? They said that the founder Bob Carr felt that since salesmen made more money, they should pay more premium which in turn lowers the premium for the salaried employees for the exact same benefits. I have never been so disrespected as a salesman and my family sure did sleep well knowing that I was helping the less fortunate salaried employees get a break on their insurance benefit premium,

Health insurance is through United, but it is definitely more expensive than any of my previous employers. The 401k doesn't even have a match, so it is pointless.
