Short-Term Disability Insurance is optionable and is offered to Team Members at no cost and can help replace a portion of income during the initial weeks of a Disability and pays a weekly benefit. The Short-Term Disability replaces a portion of a Team Member's pre-disability monthy earnings, less other income received from other sources during the same disability (e.g. state disability benefits, no-fault auto laws, sick pay, etc.).
Long-Term Disability coverage is optional to employees at age banded groups. Long-Term Disability Insurance helps replace a portion of income for an extended period, and pays a monthly benefit. The Long-Term Disability benefit replaces a portion of a Team Member's pre-disability monthly earnings, less other income received from other sources during the same Disability (e.g. Social Security, Workers' Compensation, vacation pay, etc.).
