Never used but know it’s available to those who need
maternity leave counts as "temporary disability" may be required to use CTO/PTO if you have over a certain amount accumulated, speak to someone before applying!
Nothing for dads. Minimal for women
In general: Maternity leave is covered under the FMLA and disability will pay while 'medically out of work' so if you take all 12 weeks, some time will be unpaid but you get the time.
For those that have been with the company long enough to qualify for the Federally mandated Family Medical Leave Act - then they have 12 weeks of job protection allotted by the government. For those employees that do not yet qualify for that protection (i.e. - been with the company for less than 1 year/worked less that 1250 hours) the company does not offer anything different
