different options in insurance to choose from.
It was a high deductible plan that was never properly explained. I had to use it due to an injury I sustained and I didn't feel like the coverage was very beneficial.
Like everyone else, they try and contain costs each year so they are pushing us into the "consumer directed" plan which shifts alot of the burden to us to shop around for costs of medical services. The give us $ incentive to choose these plans but the traditional PPO seems like less work but costs more. This year they implemented a sliding scale based on salary of how much the plans will cost you. I don't have any complaints on what Homesite does with healthcare as it's what everyone is doing.
Again, nothing exceptional here. The REALLY good packages are likely reserved for upper-level management. And, in the event they ACTUALLY offer the same level of coverage to everyone, then it's WAY overpriced for a standard call center employee to afford.
Benefits from day one that are on par or better than industry standards.
Benefits are standard to homesite
Two PPO plans under BCBS. Company pays approximately 85%.
