The best part is you have different health plans to choose from.
- Unlimited time-off policy (highly encouraging employees to use it especially if they are taking less time off) - The benefits have been growing with the company (every 6 months, we've added a new perk)
Best: regular free lunches and snacks. Worst: When I was there, the company had the typical snacks in the office and "wine Friday," perks, but it also had a very unstructured "unlimited vacation" policy. At the time, Hoodline didn't offer a 401k program, which was really unfortunate. When I was working there full-time, the company also didn't offer commuter benefits for public transportation (when I asked, I was told "no.") . The office is dog friendly, but that can be a plus or minus depending on whether or not you like barking dogs. The company told me my salary/number of options weren't negotiable, but that turned out to be untrue — always negotiate!
Best: "Unlimited" vacation policy is truly that and fairly generous; very flexible if you need to take time off for a doctor's appointment. Notable: Finally received commuter benefits after years without despite not being compliant with local SF laws. Worst: No 401K matching, but it's a small company, so that's to be expected. I'm happy that we even have a 401K at this point.
