I think HubSpot really leans into benefits as a form of compensation. So, you're going to have solid benefits here, but the salary is lower relative to other companies in the space.
The benefits are awesome! The only negative I've found is that they don't do charitable giving match. With recent events in Ukraine, they've done internal and external giving programs to the situation, which helps offset the lack of charitable giving. We have unlimited PTO and are fully encouraged to take it. People take PTO, there's no judgement about how much time you've taken or if you're missing a lot. People WANT you to take your time and encourage team members who haven't taken time to take time. HubSpot cares so much. In addition to health & mental health benefits, there are also so many programs. Earlier this year, my department had a 2- week Wellness Challenge. Many people got engaged and there was a significant cash prize at the end for highest level of participation. For mental health awareness month, they brought in the Happiness Professor from Yale who gave a zoom talk. There are always programs encouraging our mental and physical health. There are tons of opportunities for cultural engagement - on your team, in your department, based on faith, gender, ethnicity, etc.
