Friday bagel, discount for company products, 401K with company matching, dental and medical insurance, vacation and paid time off,
Humanscale has worked hard to show their appreciation of their employees by doing their best to offer affordable health benefits. Their health plan has had to change with the times but remains superior in comparison. It includes medical, dental and prescriptions. I believe it also covers up to $200 in eyecare a year as well. Additionally, Humanscale offers a 401k plan with matching. Vacation is typical though is lumped together with sick time for a total of 3 weeks PTO. One downside is that you must accrue the time before it can be used so if after a 2 week vacation, you’ve used all of your days and become sick, you will either need to come in and spread your illness to others or take an unpaid day off. After 5 years employment, you will earn an additional week PTO and another week on your 10 year anniversary. Maternal Leave is dictated by the state in which you are employed but unfortunately, Humanscale, like many employers, does not contribute any additional compensation. Some other benefits include free and voluntary health programs, onsite flu vaccinations and employee discounts.
Benefits package is competitive and comprehensive, and has been improved in the past few years. PTO policy begins with a low number of days and the first 3 months of work with no insurance requires faith, but benefits can improve with tenure.
Vacation is average. The 401k match is pennies on the dollar. The out of pocket cost for health/dental/vision is high compared to other employers I have worked for.
Benefits are complete garbage. The most expensive benefits thus far. Not even a company paid life insurance policy!!! The employees think the benefits are good because they don't know any better. A family plan at a good company should cost no more than $200 a month with no deductible. At Humanscale it's over $400 a month. The employer contributes the bare minimum require by the state. They pay these poor employees not much more than a Mc Donald's worker and the job requirements of the position according to New Jersey payscale should be at least 50k. Humanscale will you $13 a hour for job duties that are in a 50k category.
401k, employer match Benefits (medical, dental, vision, and pet)
The paid holidays and PTO are less than most other companies.
Great medical/dental benefits and 401 with company match
Benefits are too complicated to get because HR is never available to help!
The worst thing was how expensive it was. However, the medical and dental benefits were great. Also, the vacation time was great.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
