great package...better than most large CROs but not better than many pharma
vacation - most people start with 4 weeks! It maxes out at about 6-6.5 weeks.
The health insurance, 401k matching, and benefits are all very good. The PTO is also very good.
Generous PTO. Good health insurance but deductibles and copays keep increasing as with many plans.
Generous PTO- increases with years of service.
Medical benefits are great and most employees have the option to work from home when needed.
The benefits package is the best thing about working at ICON. Not sure how the PTO compares with other CROs, but it is pretty ample; non-managers employed under 5 years get 21 PTO days, with the ability to roll over up to 5 (there is no sick time, it is rolled into the PTO). The health insurance (Aetna) is great, and - compared with other companies I've worked for - largely covered by the company; two plans are offered, one with a $100 annual deductible, FSA, etc., and the other with a higher deductible and some other differences. Some departments including SSU allow employees to work from home like 1-3 days per week after a certain length of employment (most are 6 months to a year, I believe), provided the employee meets all eligibility criteria. 401k matching is 100% (individual AND company contributions are fully vested immediately) up to 3 or 4%, with 50% matching through another percent or two. There are also performance bonuses that are awarded alongside the annual reviews. Again, the benefits package really is pretty great. There are certainly some that I haven't mentioned here, but the ones I've mentioned are the ones I personally care about the most. One thing I have heard that isn't as great is the maternity/paternity leave; hopefully someone has reviewed who has actually used it.
Icon has affordable benefits - easy to access and change when needed.
Alot of extra money to add a dependent
Insurance options and 401K are good, but I wish they had kept vacation time and sick time separated, PTO only is not a smart option
