Its ok if you have worked ther for a long time . If you take time off it is frowned upon by management ,there are very few workers. so no one is there to pick up the slack.
PTO is easy to earn. you earn time by working time. The higher lever of hours you are hired at the more quicker you can earn PTO. It is capped based on your hours worked and time at the company but does grow the longer you stay with the company. Depending on the department and time of year using your PTO can be hard.
PTO accures, but you cannot use it for sick time when you need to be out -- life happens and not everything can be scheduled. so while you can pay yourself for missed time with Personal time off (PTO) you shouldn't have to incur a disciplinary measure for using it.
You accrue paid time off even if you are using paid time off.
No other company offers even part time employees this benefit!
It's great for new coworkers and those who have been there for a couple years and it's stupid awesome for those who have put in 5+ 10+ 20+ years of work for the company.
You can always sign on to ico-worker to request time off and your manager will approve it.
I've never really broken it down but it is based on how many hours you work per week, but is still pretty generous.
the accrual is great, whether or not your department is staffed well enough to ever get your time of requests approved is another thing.
PTO is good if you have been with the company 10 years or more, however there is no paid holidays so you must use vacation time.
