Automatic earnings of vacation hours/days (depending on position) at the end of every month, starting at ~11.5 your first year and increasing with tenure. Up to 16 extra days earned if you work on any of the 8 paid holidays (holidays are paid out in 1.5x pay, plus 1.5x vacation for every holiday worked, but this can be flexed from 1 day pay + 2 vacation days to 2 days pay and 1 day vacation.)

My experience with vacation time at IM Flash has been extremely positive. My team is understanding of personal needs to occasionally come in late or leave early. I've experienced no issues getting time off approved as long as I have the vacation hours.

they go up to 3 weeks for paid time off at a time and that is good enough for average employees

Time off is a single category. Very few holidays. Actually taking time off that has been accrued, that is the trick. One manager liked to joke that while you may take a few days off, you still have to put in the same number of hours that week, even if you take a couple days off.

If you work on shift you get 6 weeks a year (if you stacked them in a row with your natural days off).

easy to build paid time off, get up to 15 hours every month and up to 17.5 for every holiday you work, and still get 11.5 if you don't.
