It has pension plan and 401 savings plan and that is helpful. It doesn't have paternity or maternity benefit which is much needed for a working mom

The best things about the benefits is that you’re able to cover yourself as well as your family. The benefits also cover a great deal of issues that any individual might need coverage for.

I worked at the IRS for 25 years. I had 26 vacation days a year plus 13 sick days per year. Health insurance benefits can't be beat in the private sector. 401(k) with matching. I am applying to return to the IRS due to the salary and benefits.

The insurance can be pretty stressful but nothing outrageous. They took away the tuition reimbursement program years ago.

The insurance continues to increase, co-pays are higher.

Reasonable salary which commensurates with the work life/balance provided. No opportunities for bonus and few benefits compared to private sector.
