The perks that IXL offers are really nice. Paid sick time, vacation accrual, and matching 401K. As for extras, there's monthly birthday socials, team off-sites, a drink fridge, on-site massages twice a week, yoga, company sports teams and other types of company-related events. There are some additional "perks" for the dev team folks - more flexibility to work from home or remotely, etc.
You don't burn vacation days for sick leave! They much prefer that you stay home and take care of yourself so that you don't make everyone else sick, and so that you don't perform poorly because you are trying to work while sick. Also, you are fully vested in 401K from your first paycheck.
