I have nothing negative to say.
Decent benefits for a large company, but for people that have been with Illuminate for a while, we lost a lot of what the founder set out to do. Things like 100% insurance and profit-sharing are now gone.
There are definitely great benefits at this company!
Company offers Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, with options for HSA or FSA as well. 401K match. Pet Insurance also offered.
They constantly play with the benefits at their whim
All plans are very affordable. PTO is generous. Employer contributes to HSA account, even if employee does not. Employer also does significant 401(k) contribution matching, but the downside to that is that the employer match is only added once a year.
Best: Benefits seem better than average Worst: no tuition assistance and not as many "holidays" as you would expect from a company that work with schools.
There medical and dental is expensive, with few options.
Benefits used to be great, but the VC and corporate management cut benefits, resulting in huge increase in insurance premiums. Also out is the travel allowance, company retreat, open admittance to the national conferences, Christmas party, family picnic, and pretty much anything else that would make the work here more bearable.
The company recently moved from fully funded health insurance to one where employees pay minimally for self coverage and several thousand a year for family coverage. This took people by surprise.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
