fair - you have to accumulate hours for vacation and you get sick leave as well

Time off is great and all other benefits are included!

Matching funds with the 401k is great. Inexpensive dental is great also. As with all health insurance, it costs more than I'd like. Paid time off and vacation days are awesome and easy to keep track of at IU.

Insurance is a bit high, but what insurance isn't these days?

To be honest I didn't take out the benefits. I only used the flex pay and the vision care.

Bad coverage and the cost

Health benefits are expensive. Perhaps a small raise each year will help for those who have been paid the same salary for years.

401k, insurance, 9 Holliday's, 2 weeks paid time off plus 6 sick days a year and flexible work schedule. Benefits are good. There really aren't any cons except that the insurance can be expensive.

The company offers 401k, Major Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and long term disability, Life Insurance and DD insurance. You have the option to add up to 500,00.00 in additional; life above the 20,000.00 the company pays for. In addition the company pays 100% for short and long term disability as well as offering a % match tot he 401K plan. They also have a health spending acct and a high deductible option for those that choose that over the standard PPO. I'm sure I am missing some of the benefits as the ones above are the ones I use. After a year you also qualify for free college up to your masters degree. That's a huge benefit!

there are 3 benefit plans to choose from so I am paying half the price I paid for benefits from my last company, so overall I am very satisfied

I was very disappointed in the benefits package of Independence University. With their size, they should have been able to negotiate much better plan options. Very expensive to the employee which escalates even further if you add family. Very little company contribution into HSA to offset.
