Great benefits packet, 401 match, medical and dental benefits
The medical coverage is very expensive
No paid time off for instructors because of part time, but lack of substitute teachers to even allow time off
The company has great benefits for its employees.
Great health insurance, dental and vision. 401k match option and vacation and sick time paid. The only bad part is there is a zero tolerance on overtime.
the insurance they offered was decently priced.
401k match is great and vested right away. That said they made a change to the employee handbook. All they did was send out an email stating it was updated. They didn't tell anyone what was changed. Vacation used to be an earned benefit. If you leave the company for any reason you get paid out. They took that away, not for just new hires but all employees because it was costing them too much money. Maybe they should look at why all these people are leaving the company? This is something we earned in good faith. To take it away after being hired doesn't show respect for the employee. If I were looking at this company and knew you loose vacation when you leave I wouldn't go to work there. It may seem a minor thing to some but its just an indicator of how the company runs. This year the maximum out of pocket went up over 2k for Medical. The Co pays went from 10% after deductible to a flat 20% period. All you need is one day in the hospital and you are out 6K.
They give you vacation and sick time, but will hold it against you if you take any of it.
Worst Thing - You still get sick and vacation time instead of PTO, so if you are never sick, you leave a lot of time and money on the table.
Bad pay + no benefits for part timers. Low class students who don't understand English language thus making it very difficult to teach them. cul5
