West employees receive paid time off and paid holidays.
first year is good and it keeps growing YoY
PTO policy is fine, but companies that became part of West/Intrado as part of an acquisition are losing banked PTO
Really good vision coverage
PTO is OK, but I would MUCH rather have had vacation time and sick time. It's not a "vacation" when you're ill.
Time off for vacation and holidays
My position is very flexible. I do have to work a minimum of 3 hours per week to keep my employment active but when I need time off I get it. I've never had a problem getting time off or PTO.
They only allow 2 people off on a given day, they have start accruing hours of pto and takes 4 1/2 months to get 40 hours built up. 2 floating holidays and day after thanksgiving and Christmas Eve off.
Benefits are average and nothing extra-ordinary. Too many mergers and acquisitions resulting into vertical leadership structure.
Nice for new hires to be able to go negative when first start for planned events (commitments made prior to hire)
