They have Cigna health and dental insurance and VSP for vision coverage. The deductible for a single person coverage was $1500, but the company provided $500 annually for the your FSA. Dental insurance covered bi-annual cleanings and x-rays and cavity fillings as needed. VSP covered the majority of an eye exam fee every 12 months and paid for a box of contacts or a portion of a glasses prescription. The 401k was through Fidelity and the match was only 3%, but the company made a small contribution each year to make up for that. PTO was a standard 2 weeks and you would accumulate 1 day for each year of employment beginning with year 5. What a joke! Holidays were the bare minimum along with 2 floating holidays. Employees were allowed to request free non-powered products only if they were available in customer returns, so no brand new items were included.
the 401K matching can be better only 100%match for the first 1% and 50% match for the next 2 points
Health savings account is loaded at the beginning of every year and you get to keep it if it rolls to the next year. Benefits are through Cigna health
There is an Employee Assistance Program that exists to inform the HR department about personal employee problems. I wish I were kidding.
Vacation gradually builds up over time
Health Insurance used to be 100% no deductable, then shifted over years to HRA, but still the best available compared to many other employers,; They used to match 401K contribution but over time became unable to do that any longer; vacation began one week off after six months work then gained additional 1 day every year up to 25 years.
Cigna healthcare leaves all of the expenses to the employees. It is probably better to have your car insurance company provide a major medical plan for your family. It is scary when you have to take your spouse and kids to the doctor. The company has no staff to help with resolving the many discrepancies between the insurance statements and the healthcare providers statements. The employees need to manage their own healthcare or pay dearly.
Standard time off, standard 401k, standard benefits. Most likely you can negotiate for better. I was young when I started there and did not know any better. Advise - try and negotiate for better perks.
