Price of the insurance was average for a single, and very high for a family. Coverage wasn't great, either. High deductible, low coverage.

It's comparatively expensive to other places with coverage that still requires a large amount of expenses to be paid out of pocket.

Definitely the worst health insurance that I have ever dealt with in the trucking industry, or any other industry, for that matter. This is possible the biggest reason why JB Hunt has such a high turnover among office staff as well as drivers. The health insurance is costly and doesn't even provide the employees with decent health insurance. Each year the cost is going up but the amount that it offers is staying about the same. The worst part is that if you question why it is so expensive the vast majority of management chalks the reasoning up to the fact that there are so many truck drivers that need to be insured which is a simplistic way to dismiss genuine concerns or problems. There are plenty of other companies such as DHL supply chain which offer good benefits and competitive rates for pay.
