J.B. Hunt offers vacation time to its drivers and paid time off to all its office and maintenance employees.
They changed policy last year and are now on a PTO system. All PTO is paid out of the same balance that build throughout the year at a weekly rate. All requests for time off done thru Workday. Very easy to use.
Cant wait to use it. and affording to take the time off with pay increase opportunity.
They pay well on vacation and if you need time off and they don’t bug you on when you will return back to work
The runs negate any time off.. no consecutive days off, PTO required to see family, because runs are ALL over 14 hours.. and runs are illegal to drive, so you don't get home

Best thing is that it's changed to a weekly accruing PTO system with a 150% annual accrual cap. Worst thing is that it's driven by tenure instead of merit, or negotiable at hire time.
Best thing is that the PTO plan is very fair and you can use it at any time. You don' have to wait until you've been there a full year.
