“affordable plan for individuals and family”
“you accrue hours the day you start”
Great health insurance, free vision, cheap dental. Added perks of free gym onsite with cheap/free classes and free admission to many LA county museums with staff ID.
Healthcare benefits are terrible. Retirement is good, but significantly worse than they used to be—everyone setting policy is grandfathered in, so they don’t care.
On site gym there is a 40k
Great community to work for. Matching 401k and great benefits.
Great benefits, too few vacation days
Many options! Three different insurance plans - bare bones cheap, UCLA HMO, or pricier but comprehensive PPO. All the other bells and whistles - life, disability, options like legal coverage and pet insurance. Health club for employees. Lots of time off. Nothing to complain about!
It's very comprehensive. I especially appreciate the gym and extensive medial benefits, though they raise the rates every year
In general, one of the best aspects besides being a beautiful institution with smart people, of working with the Getty is the benefits. Through the years, some have been decreased, such as no more pension, but there is contribution to a defined retirement plan (403A). The challenge is that there are differences for vacation time for exempt vs non-exempt which causes issues; and alternative schedule for some and not others. There's also great variance between departments for benefits like professional development, training, tuition assistance, telework, etc. So clarify expectations per position per department.
On-site gym and decent health plan options.
Vacation can't be beat when you are exempt. Every other Friday off is a dream. Medical/dental/vision all good. Plus there is a gym on site. Good matching retirement plan.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
