Insurance is great for individuals, but super expensive once you add spouse or dependents. Great EAP. Free tuition is amazing- staff and their families!
The cost are too high. The cheapest family plan is $466 a month with a $3,000 deductible. I also had to get the FSA so I could afford to use the insurance which is another $220.84 a month.

The benefits at Jacksonville University for full-time employees are fantastic. Vacation time is more competitive than commercial industry counterparts. Regarding the 401K, JU will match up to 6% of annual income. The health insurance is manageable if you are on your own plan. My spouse and I opted not to add him as it made it astronomically more expensive. I cannot comment on the family plans. Full-time non-exempt employees also get education benefits with area-wide schools, which possibly off-sets the health care. It is worth looking into as an employer for these reasons; however, the salaries are dismal in comparison with national averages.
