    The schedule. You get 10 sick days ever year, 3 personal, and 2 emergency. If you don't use them they roll over. Plus being off on summer break. They DONT match 401k which is a bummer.

    The benefits are actually very good. For an individual you can receive excellent insurance for a minimal contribution. Even spouses and dependents can be added at a very reasonable rate. Many doctors offices have commented that the insurance covers many things most other plans do not.

    There is no health insurance benefit for substitute teachers. Given our current political climate in regard to attempted repeal of the Affordable Care Act and Governor Matt Bevin's attempts to shrink and constrict Medicaid eligibility, that can be a serious drawback to employment as a JCPS substitute.

    My parents work in benefits and even they had a very difficult time with the way JCPS had their benefits options set up. It was very confusing and a huge pain.
