Pro Paid actions is amazing. You are in a union Cons Depends on your team. If they suck your experience sucks.
Had to pay wages to join the union. Can get some money back by attending a meeting. There are no benefits
The insurance was decent. The job itself became crappy as soon as management saw potential more responsibilities without the pay. So if you do plan to work here DON'T SHOW POTENTIAL or management will drain you dry!
I do not have many benefits because I am a part-time employee. I do not get holiday off paid like Thansgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year Day
Affordable even if you want family coverage
I did not take any part in the benefits package at Jewel Osco, because I was only part time here.
The benefits are acceptable, but you have to go through hurdles to get them. 401k is available when you start, but to be eligible for health and dental you need to work 30 hours a week then sign up through the ONCE-A-YEAR open enrollment. You have to work at least one year to get one week of paid vacation time per year, five or so years to get two weeks then nine years to get three. HOWEVER, because of the busy work environment, you may not be allowed that vacation time. As an employee, you're allowed a 5% discount on most products in the store, then an additional 5% on store-brand products. IF a customer mentions your name in an optional online survey and gives you a perfect 10, then you MIGHT get a coupon for $5 off your next in-store purchase and an entry into a monthly drawing for a $20 off coupon.
I get time off like every time I ask, but then also Holidays everyone works.
It was very hard to get needed time off, even for doctor visits.
10% discount on food. Whether that is a good or a bad thing, i guess thats up to the person who uses it. I personally fount it to be too little.
