Most stores are pretty flexible when it comes to needing time off.
They will work with your schedule as much as possible. That’s the most thing I love about this job
Management is willing to help work around school hours or family vacations for younger employees. This is usually at the cost of management having to work extra hours as long as you do not go into overtime status. If you can find a replacement for you then you are usually okay.
Due to the part time nature of most positions, you can request different shifts or weekly scheduled days off and management is usually as flexible as possible with enough notice.
The shift scheduling system is flexible. One can trade shifts with someone else (as long as it's approved). However there are no days off given. Shifts must be covered in order for someone to take a day off. Employees often post their requests weeks or months in advance to ensure they'll be covered.
The hours were very flexible and as a high school student and athlete, working at a place with flexible hours was very important to me.
They work with your schedule
If you need off just get your shift covered. My manager was very relaxed if I had to miss for a test. Easy college job
Ability to not work certain days on schedule, but only after finding a cover. Even if you're sick they might ask you to come in anyways.
Hours were good, very stable
