John Deer offers several Health Insurance options for employees to choose.
The deductibles are too high, but that is standard in the industry today.
The health insurance has great coverage at affordable rates and typically works best if you are married with children,.
Everything is covered and very affordable. From what I could tell, it was a good healthcare plan although as a summer intern I didn't need to use it.
The out-of-pocket paid is low.
I did not have to use this, but the plans I overlooked where very beneficial and comprehensive to most employees.
Good insurance through UHC, but it is a high deductible insurance which puts you to a use it a lot or don't use it at all type policy.
The health insurance policy at John Deere is very generous, particularly for interns. Most internship programs do not offer this. Unfortunately, since most full-time college students already have coverage, they usually don't actually "benefit" from this benefit.
For full time employees, they offer really helpful insurance packages for the employee and family members
It's a high deductible plan so you do have to plan ahead and save some money. That's the only downside.
Health insurance is good but is probably not as big of a differentiater as it once was. HSA is available and the insurance is through United Health Care which is a very large, stable provider.
