Top notch plans to chose from - that even includes ones that cover fertility assistance at 90% (!!)
Terrible - they do not have a direct health insurance benefit but a managed plan that works with CIGNS - but every transaction is a major chore to get reimbursed.
The insurance would rate higher if it wasn't for the fact that The Johns Hopkins University has better plan that isn't available to JHUAPL staff
We believe it to be good, co pays are good, premium a bit pricey, but compared to other employers in the region, best we've seen.
The coverage is excellent. I've been able to keep all my providers. The only downside is that the premiums are significantly higher than they were at my previous employer.
Health Insurance was fine. Typical insurance for that type of industry. Never had any problems regarding the health insurance.
The insurance company has changed over the years, but we have been able to keep our same doctors. We and 3 children under the plan with minimal out of pocket cost. I had heart problems and required an emergency stint. I paid some co-pays and 10% of the adjusted bill, all acceptable. I paid co-pays for 3 months of rehab. Only bad thing is on $100 every 2 years for eyeglass coverage.
