The benefits package is typical for a state agency. The best benefit is the retirement package for those who can invest 30 years. The other benefit is the employee can take one free class per semester, and the state sometimes offers tuition assistance for advanced degrees, depending on the budget. Other benefits have been eroded by the state budget cuts.
