Great benefits i think the best thing would be medical, and worst would just be that they dont
employee cost increases each year
The best thing is that they have a 90/10 plan, VSP vision and good dental. The catch is it is Cigna so it is very expensive-- the main reason I give it a 2.5-3. They say they will adopt another vendor, but never do...just easier to stick with the higher prices passed on to employees. As for time off, they have a PTO plan they implemented as the laws changed-- no more sick or vacation days that can be saved up. You do get a good amount of PTO, especially the longer you are here. The catch is you can't save any time up and you lose it every year. They have a matching plan for retirement which is nice. They also offer a great life insurance and standard disability coverage policy.
The benefits package doesn't cover specialist visits, fertility treatments, chiropractics and is deductible based. The lowest deductible is $3,500 with an almost $300/month premium. Office visits (each) cost around $190.
The annual bonus/raise and PTO are amazing. The insurance hardly covers anything and is very expensive.
The insurance benefits package at K12 is very standard. Working from home is subject to manager approval, and varies from manager to manager. 401k is 1% match. PTO is a maximum of 20 days (employees working 1 - 4 years), 30 days (employees working 5+ years), PTO includes sick, vacation, personal, it's all the same, and no roll overs.
Benefits are less than most of the companies in the area. 401k contribution is less. Health insurance increases every year.
The benefits package seems to be average and does include optional life insurance add ons, 401 K optional enrollment, etc.
401k company match is minimal
Good set of coverage options and 401K matching.
