Overall pretty solid benefits package and throughout my time the company has improved its vacation time accumulated based on years of employment, also sick time has increased and is given at the start of the year. Company offers separate time off for parents to attend school events, which I have seen as a great perk. Lastly, an excellent benefit is the number of holidays we get off! I wish we had something around fertility assistance but I’ve seen that more in progressive corporate companies.
I did not feel like that benefit package was bad if anything I felt like it was fair. Especially when it came to the dentist i had no co-pay.
The benefits were great. I like that the fact I was given a spending account. I put a certain amount on the card and they would double it. The negative side of the benefit was the co payments with doctors and prescriptions.
You get $2,500 on a benefits card
Vacation and 401k matching is great. Health insurance is average. No public transportation stipend or credit, which is a shame. Overall decent.
there is a cap of how much is covered, don't have much insurance options
Best thing: Much better pay than LAUSD or other local schools. Employer covers 100% of health benefits, no money is taken out of your check (if you're single and have no children) Worst thing: Pay and benefits aren't (in my opinion) worth the stress and demands of the job. I will take a pay cut to have a healthier work/life balance. 70 hour work weeks is too much.
