KCP&L recently updated the paternity leave policy to 12 weeks paid time-off for men and women.
Good time off for employees with a lot of years of service.
Best thing is the 100% company match to your 401 K as well as you can now contribute to a ROTH 401 K. Worst thing is the health insurance benefits are well below average and expensive.
there were no benefits offered to contract hires. The company abused the contract to hire program in that they would keep the contracted individual and never plan to bring on to a FT position. Some of the contractors I knew had been there as contract positions for over 4 years plus. If you were fortunate enough to get a full time position then the benefits were great! I was there for 2 years and finally realized FT was never going to happen.
very unsure of any of the benefit programs
Overall a very comprehensive package, but decreasing in value every year (out of pocket is increasing). Healthy vacation schedule, paid holidays, etc.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
