“Best: you can contribute right away and Vanguard has good investment options & tools. Worst: the 1% match is stingy compared to other employer matches I've experienced.”
“Discounted or free programs are offered to employee and immediate family, if you happen to be in the market for Kaplan’s very specific programs ”
“Best: the mental health benefits and out of pocket maximum. Worst: I've tried, but it's impossible to understand the copayment coinsurance & what have you.”
Best thing is flexible time. Kaplan has been remote-friendly for over a decade, so the company made a smooth transition to fully remote during the pandemic -- and it's still fully remote. Worst thing is the 1% 401(k) employer contribution.
Good 401k compared to my partner
Health Insurance as a benefit
Overall everything is good especially WFH

Need CFA exam advice! I recently left financial due diligence and moved to industry to a strategy and deals role. I studied for the CFA all of 2020 but my exam was canceled twice, resulting in me getting a refund. I haven’t studied since Nov 2020 but still remember some materials. I did not get a refund for the kaplan course. The deadline for November exam is today. Is pursuing the CFA worth it at this point? Im 27 with almost 5 YOE. Should I just do level 1 and will that help career-wise?
They offer great medical benefits
Aetna, PTO starts at 2wks and climbs from tenure
Great benefits and 401k matching
PTO is average, insurance benefits are average. Pension included, which is nice, and GOK is better than others. Opportunity for advancement and professional development is limited.
The benefits are just ok
benefits don't kick in until 3 months in
