Many coverage options and covers dependents!!! BIG DEAL- No complaints so far regarding coverage.
Good medical, vision, dental, 401 (no match), life insurance.
For a company that's pretty IPO and has been around for 13 years, I'm shocked that they don't have 401(k) match. Salaries are also below industry average.
The fact that we have paid Insurance is good
Average but very expensive benefits. When you check and compare, you realize you're paying over 50% of what the rest of your friends pay for insurance at other companies. No vacation time accrued. Unlimited PTO means you don't have vacation, personal days, etc. If you get laid off or quit, they don't owe you any PTO regardless you worked over 80 hours a week.
Kareo did not explain full package benefits or who would qualify until I accepted the job, which by that time was too late, not fully explained just seemed like they needed a fresh body.
This company has good benefits, health ins, life ins, dental ins, vision. The one thing it is missing is the company matching 401k contributions.
Overall good benefits. Unlimited PTO, company discounts.
Kareo provides your standard medical, dental, vision benefits. They offer a couple plans that are free to employees, but then costs jump up once you start adding dependents. I personally love the high deductible plan. I used the Teledoc feature once last year, so the only medical expense I had was $50. Which was awesome! And I got to put away money into a health savings account before taxes. We have a 401k, but no company matching at the moment. The benefit that matters most to me is the unlimited PTO plan for salaried employees. I like the flexibility of taking time off when I need it. But I also have the flexibility to work from home and check emails when I'm not around to keep up with the work.
Health insurance packages are strong. The Kaiser HMO plan is fully covered by the company / no employee contribution. The as-needed PTO for exempt employees seems to work well enough - I haven't noticed any management pressure to not take vacation days.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
