The girl that trained me when over every single detail and the day I was to go hands on, on the register, I was ready to go
Good LPA'S training program that is a six month detailed and informative program. I was in this program in 2014 and received a certificate of completion.
They give you three days of another cashier just throwing you up there and letting you figure it out yourself .
Not much on hands training.
Training is a joke. The "training" videos have nothing to do with the job and your practically thrown on a register without much explanation of all the things you need to know. Had to ask other employees on the spot on how to do things like gift receipts or voiding transactions and the like. Was not impressed.
Although it is a lot of training, the new system allows all the training to be done over the course of time. Time mangement
watched a couple videos that were like twenty years old and were the same for all the stores sears owns.
Not thorough enough. Should go through all areas of system.
It's kind of a sink or swim mentality.
Initial training is teaching how to use a register, but on the floor you have to learn everything on your own.
