Job training is a great why to better understand what you will be doing as an employee, it will also help you get better at your job
On-the-job training. Because I have ADHD and was not diagnosed or medicated at the time, I had a lot of trouble picking up certain things and being able to work at the required speed. The pastry team leader was amazingly patient and understanding, though. Hands-down the greatest trainer I've ever had. There were some days during my training when another girl was left in charge, but I think she was given more responsibility than she was able to handle and the rest of the team really struggled because of how disorganized everything was. Pastry chefs from Corporate would sometimes come to help out and teach proper technique.
Poor management. They hound you to memorize the menu but there's no real pay off for doing so. Attended an employee meeting that was terrorized by the managers kids, it lasted 2 hours , it was unpaid and a waste of time.
