Majority of the time you will be given work time based on the times you are available, but dependimg if youre hired as seasonal or part time, your hours vary. Some may work only on the weekends to close or during the week if its summer. If you need to trade shifts you are able to do so with a written document between you and the person you are switching with. Then it must be approved before it can take effect. If you are unable to call in sick due to lack of sick hours, you can call your supervisor to inform them someone is covering for you (this is heavily important you call and get verified for this between the person covering for you and supervisor for approval). Request offs are simply requests, and not guaranteed, especially for the holidays. They are pretty good about giving request offs 2 weeks in advance, but its good to do 3 just in case ESPECIALLY for holidays such as thanksgiving, Christmas eve, new years eve and new years day.
you want more hours you need have open schedule or you get one shift per week it's two hours no joke
They will work with you A BIT on starting work and ending work times, but the event is very limited and only on for about a month, so expect only limted flexablity for taking time or days off, and if you do, you might not be given priority for rehire for the next event year.
The flexibility was good especially because I was in school.
Would give them a 5 star but they were a bit unflexable with my hours at times. If you needed a busy time of the year off you needed to request it very early in advance, and if it still was not accepted you would need to get lucky and hope someone who has the day off would trade you shifts. Goodluck trying to get a weekend off.
