It's based on time worked. I'm up to 200 hrs of PTO for 15 yrs service.

When the area industry standard is 20 days of PTO plus 8-10 federal holidays, L3 comes up short at only 15 days of PTO. You can "purchase" extras days (so ask for that extra amount in your salary negotiation! Or you will effectively lose a week's pay by taking a job with L3). The only nice thing (and the reason it's not ONE star) is that there are only 6 set holidays. You're allowed to float the other holidays to days that work for you.

I was able to negotiate my previous thee weeks of vacation and then they allow employees to purchase an additional week. When I first started there was unlimited sick time, then this year it was reduced to only 5 days per year.

3 weeks (120 hrs) starting PTO as entry-level engineer. +1 week at 5 and 10 yrs with the company. Paid holidays for most major ones (mostly in the second half of the year) with a generous Christmas break starting a few days before Christmas and going through Jan 2/3

Is really good, after a year you have 3 weeks , the bad is that noine can cover your vacations, is almost impossible to take it.

Only 3 weeks PTO. Is low. Had more PTO when worked with a competitor.
