    Company eliminated sick leave in 2018, which previously had been an honor system. To compensate, they increased PTO from 15 to 20 days. This is nice, but it also means that 1) people will come into work when ill, and 2) if you have a bad year health-wise, you might be worse off. 401(k) is administered by Prudential and has a 5% match; however, it vests over 5 years. So if you leave before 5 years, you only get a portion of the match. This is disappointing given how many companies now have immediate or 1 year vesting.

    Pension: since I transferred into LGS from Alcatel-Lucent (ALU), my ALU pension was gradually whittled down to near nothing (although I was able to retire early with a Lump Sum distribution). As far as I know, LGS does not provide any kind of pension benefit currently, but they do have a 401K and things like that. Post-retirement benefits are pretty much non-existent, especially with regards to Health Insurance, etc. (thanks to the ACA, this was not a huge problem for me!).

    It was very comprehensive and allowed you to pick and choose what benefits you wanted and allowed money to be moved from one to the other

    Pretty complete package of benefits including health care, dental, life and accident insurance. Also disability and a generous vacation plan. No eye care, but not a big deal.
